Large c. 1890 James Dixon & Sons Silverplate/Leather Hip Flask
Handsome antique hip flask dating to the latter part of the 19th century, c.1880. From the renowned Sheffield based silversmith James Dixon & Sons, this plated flask is a delightful antique that may still be used today and bears a desirable patina and finish so lacking in modern examples.
The glass bottle has a black leather upper and features a "window" to see when the flask may need refilling. The lower part of the flask protected by a silverplate removable cup, that slides effortlessly and snugly onto the bottle. It is monogrammed, "H.S."
Flask measures 8-1/2" tall, 4-3/4" wide and approx. 2" deep. Superb condition for a piece this old!
