Beautiful Victorian mourning locket/brooch with a tortoise frame and glass front to hold a photo. The back has a glass compartment where a lock of hair of the deceased would be secreted away as a memento. This compartment does not have hair. The brooch measures 1-1/2" by 1-1/8." It is a silvertone metal and has a "c" clasp. Good condition with a small chip of the tortoise.
