I just couldn't capture the beauty of this oil painting with my camera. I took several photos in different light but couldn't capture the color or brilliance. It is much more crisp and vibrant in person.
This oil is from the turn of the 19th century and features colorful hollyhocks on artist board. It has a pale greenish blue background with brilliant colors. The painting is framed in a gilt wood frame that measures 26-1/2" by 14." The actual oil measures 24-1/2" by 12." It is in overall good condition with some small creases in the lower right hand corner as noted in the photos. Painting is unsigned. A lovely oil.
