This is one of the most unique globes I've ever seen. Dating to the early 1900's, the globe is made glass. Manufactured by G. Thomas, Paris. There is quite a bit of water staining as noted in the photos. Not for the perfectionist. I actually think the staining gives this globe quite a bit of character. There are a couple of small areas of paper loss, exposing the glass globe. The base is wood and the globe is detachable for safe shipping. It measures 24" tall, approx. 12-1/2" wide and 39" in circumference. Quite unusual!
