Extraordinary four piece chafing set from the Ritz Carlton Hotel. This piece dates to the early 1900's. It features the Ritz lion crest on the front, an ornate lid, wooden handles and the most decorative feet. The burner is still in tact. It measures 10-1/2" long, including the handles, 7-3/4" tall and 6-1/2" deep. Note the dimensions; this is an individual or serving-for-two size.
The condition is amazing. A bright, shiny patina. It appears as if it's never been used. There is some light oxidation on two of the feet. Four of the pieces are marked, "Ritz Carlton." Manufactured by Gorham.
This is one of the most exquisite and rare pieces of hotel silver that I've ever seen. The ornate detail, provenance and condition make it a special piece for any collection.
