19th Century Sterling Award Medal Brooch ~ Pipe Music
This antique award medal brooch makes quite a statement! It is sterling silver with Latin engraving on the front, dated 1897. It has a rampant lion on the front, a crown on the top. The back is engraved, "Presented by J.R. Mackie Victoria B.C., Won by J. McKenzie PIPE MUSIC." Not quite sure what this was for, but love it nonetheless! It measures 4" long by approx. 2" wide. Marked "sterling." This would look fabulous on a lapel!
