19th C. Porcelain de Paris Monogrammed Tureen, Mansard

This stunning open tureen is part of a large service of dinnerware, manufactured by Mansard, Paris. The set was so large that the pieces are being sold separately. It dates to the late 19th century and is parcel gilt. It has an ornate monogram with the initials,"HFB."

Early monogrammed fine china such as this was customary for very wealthy families. It was labor intensive and quite costly.

The tureen measures 7-3/4" in diameter not including the handles, 10-1/4" from handle-to-handle and 4-1/4" tall. It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. Does not include a lid. Mansard, Paris hallmarks on underside. Gorgeous in person!
