Large Vintage Lady Oil Portrait on Canvas ~ Listed Artist

Wonderful colors on this large c. 1930's/40's oil on canvas portrait in its original frame. The painting itself measures 30-1/4" by 24-1/4." The frame measures 34-1/2" by 28-1/2." Beautifully executed with fine detail.

Signed Helen Hawley Narozny (1887-1971), a listed California painter. Born in Chicago, Illinois on June 29, 1887. Mrs. Narozny studied at the AIC under Vanderpoel and taught art in the public schools of Illinois before settling in southern California in 1927. While a resident of Los Angeles in the 1930's, she was a pupil and painting partner of Elsie Palmer Payne. Her last years were spent in San Mateo, California.

Painting is in very good original vintage condition, there are a few minor scuffs to the frame.
