Striking and whimsical vintage multi-gem "princess" ring. The “nine-gems” (Nop-pa-kao in Thai), or more commonly known as the “Thai Princess” rings, have been part of Thai jewelry tradition since the long history of Thailand. They became popular in the western world during the 1940’s when the GI's sent these home to their sweethearts. The traditional nine-gem, Thai Princess ring usually features a variety of 9 precious gemstones as this one does.
This ring is 14 carat gold with a white topaz center stone and multi-gems around including opals. It sits about 1/2" high from your finger and is approx. 1" wide across the front. Very unique It is a US size 8 and can be sized. Marked 14K. Weighs 9.5 grams. Whimsical and fun ring!
