Outstanding food dome/cover from the Fairmont Hotel atop Nob Hill in San Francisco. This is one of the largest, most magnificent domes and piece of hotel silver I've ever seen. It measures 10" tall to the top of the handle, 20" long and 14-1/2" wide. Front has "Fairmont Hotel" engraved in script. Patina is bright and shiny and has been professionally polished inside and out. Some light scratching commensurating with age. Manufactured by Reed & Barton; date mark is 1948. Piece is very heavy. Photos don't do justice. It is quite large and exquisite in person. Would make an amazing centerpiece on a sideboard or dining table.
