Elegant food cover from the St. Francis Hotel in downtown Union Square, San Francisco. These covers were typically used to keep food warm. The cover measures 10-1/4" in diameter and 3" tall. Faint wreath logo with "SF" monogram on front. Recessed handle. Bright, shiny patina with typical scratches and pitting as expected with an early piece. Slight dent on the edge as noted in the close-up photos. Made by Reed & Barton; bottom marked "St. Francis." Lovely piece.
