This is an amazing 19th century globe (18" diameter) by Rand McNally. I have never seen one as large. Noted as a terrestrial globe, it is mounted on an Art Nouveau solid cast iron base and meridian with claw feet. It has a deep patina reflecting over 100 years of use and age. It measures 32-1/2" tall, approx. 22" at it's widest point and 53" in circumference. The globe itself is 18" in diameter. Overall nice condition with areas of wear and repair. I have tried to capture it in the photos. Please feel free to e-mail with any additional questions. This is a spectacular globe!
