Photos don't do justice to this lovely vintage food cover from the Mark Hopkins Hotel atop San Francisco's Nob Hill. The cover has a fancy "MH" logo on the front and the top has a recessed handle. Nice scallop-shaped rim with a decorative "Reed & Leaf" mount. Bright, shiny patina with light wear and a small "ding" by the logo. Measures 10" long, 7-1/2" wide and 3-1/2" tall. Manufactured by Reed & Barton. Date symbol is 1948. Markings on underside.
This is an excellent serving piece for covering hors d'ovres including cheeses.
