Lovely vintage footed compote from the Mark Hopkins Hotel atop Nob Hill in San Francisco. Dish measures 4-3/4" tall and 9" in diameter. The edge has "MH" logo in a crest that faintly remains from years of use. Fancy "Reed & Leaf" border. Overall excellent condition with light wear in the dish. There is a little rattle if you shake the compote as if some little piece is floating inside. This does not effect the beauty or value of the piece. Manufactured by Reed & Barton, date mark is 1948.
