Photos don't do justice to this lovely vintage food cover from the Mark Hopkins Hotel atop San Francisco's Nob Hill. This cover dates to 1926, the year the Mark Hopkins opened. There is a raised crest on the top with the "MH" logo. Extremely bright, shiny patina with some small dings and dents. Measures 10-3/4" long, 7" wide and 3-1/4" tall. Manufactured by Reed & Barton. Dated 1926. Markings on underside.
This is an excellent serving piece for covering hors d'ovres including cheeses.
