1940's Mark Hopkins Hotel, S.F. Handled Sugar Bowl
This fancy handled 1 pint sugar bowl can also be used as a tureen for serving sauce or gravy. It's from the Mark Hopkins Hotel atop Nob Hill in San Francisco. It measures 6-1/2" from handle to handle, 3" tall and 4-1/2" wide. It has a nice patina with the perfect "hotel silver patina" of light pitting...a butler's finish. Bottom markings read, "Reed & Barton Silver Soldered 1P MARK HOPKINS." Date mark is 1948.
