Quite a whimsical pair of vintage French style chairs! These chairs are c. 1940's and have been reupholstered in a vintage burlap from a French cocoa company. What an interesting juxtaposition! The frames of the chairs have been painted a deep bluish-gray. They are more gray in person than the photos depict. The front of the chairs are tufted. The burlap has printing on the front, seats and back. LOVE that they're printed on the back as well. Reads, "Produce of Cote D'Ivoire."
These generous-sized chairs measure 35" tall, 28-1/2" wide, 20-1/2" deep and 18" to the top of the seat cushion. They are solid and sturdy. The cushions are loosely set in the burlap and can be sewn tighter if desired. These can shed a bit so just wanted to point that out. They are truly unique and quite a conversation piece!
