Lovely creamer and underplate from the Deshler-Wallick Hotel in downtown Columbus, Ohio. The Deshler-Wallick Hotel was a 400- room hotel located at the corner of Broad & High Streets. It was owned by the Wallick family who also owned Cadillac in New York and the Secor in Toledo. Unfortunately, it was demolished in May of 1970. This is a wonderful piece of history and an unusual find for a collector.
Quite elaborate. the front of the creamer and ends of the tray have 2 lions with wings sitting on each side of of the "D." Ornate patterns on the rim of both the creamer and tray. Creamer measures 3" tall and 3-1/2" from handle to spout. The plate is 4-1/2" by 3." Both in excellent condition. Manufactured by Reed & Barton.
