1914 Copley Plaza Hotel 14.5" Crested Serving Platter

Stunning and highly collectible Victorian silver plate double crested serving platter from the Copley Plaza, Boston. The Copley Plaza hotel is known as the Sister Plaza Hotel, because the founders used the same builders, designers and silver manufacturers. The hotel still exists and is called The Fairmont Copley Plaza. It is a Forbes four-star, AAA four-diamond hotel part of the Fairmont Hotels and Resorts.

This large platter has the famous double P crest on either side. It measures 14-1/2" long by 10" wide. It has a beautiful patina with light surface wear commensurate with age. It's quite a heavy, solid piece of early hotel plate.

The back is stamped, "Copley Plaza". It is manufactured by Gorham and dated 1914.

A stunning platter that's over one hundred years old!
