1920s Hotel del Monte, Monterey Crested Dish

Lovely 1920s silver plate crested dish from the famous Hotel del Monte in Monterey, California. The Hotel Del Monte was a large resort hotel in Monterey, California, from its opening in 1880 until 1942. It was one of the finest luxury hotels in North America.

The small try bears the hotel's crest and measures 7-3/4" by 5-3/4". It has polished up beautifully and is in excellent condition with a gleaming patina. This can be used for serving small desert items or appetizers.

Manufactured by Gorham and stamped, "Del Monte". There is also some writing inscribed on the underside. Date symbol for Gorham is 1925.
