1926 Commodore Perry Hotel, Toledo, Ohio Teapot
Shapely 1920s silver plated teapot from the Commodore Perry Hotel in Toledo, Ohio.
The Commodore Perry Hotel was the last large hotel built in downtown Toledo until the late 1970s. The hotel was popular with celebrities and politicians until its closure in 1980. In the late 1990s, work began to turn the Commodore Perry Hotel into an apartment building, which it remains today.
This ornate 16 ounce teapot measures 7-1/2" tall and 7-1/2" from handle to spout. It has a sparkling butler's patina with some light pitting commensurate with age. The interior has been professionally replated by a silversmith and holds two cups of tea.
Manufactured by International Silver Company and stamped, "COMMODORE PERRY TOLEDO." It is dated 1926.
A fabulous vintage hotel grade quality teapot!
