1930s Waldorf Astoria, New York City Tazza/Compote
This rare 1930s silver plate tazza/compote is from from the legendary Waldorf Astoria in New York City. It was acquired from a long-time collector of rare hotel, railroad and steamship silver pieces.
This footed piece has the Waldorf's famous Deco mount on the rim and neck of the piece. It measures 9" in diameter and 4-1/4" tall.
It has a bright, shiny patina with very little use.
Manufactured by International Silver Company and stamped, "THE WALDORF ASTORIA 1937".
Perfect for serving anything from sweets to fruit!
