c. 1930s-40s WPA Era Woman Portrait Oil Painting

Simply beautiful and rare c. 1930s-40s colorful impressionist oil portrait painting of a an African American woman. Vintage paintings featuring people of color are quite scarce and this is a wonderful find.

It is beautifully executed with a pleasing color palette and fine detail. The painting is on board and housed in a newer gilt wood frame that measures 18-3/4" by 18-1/4".  It's in excellent condition with a couple of small scuffs to the paint.
