19th C. Cowled Monk Solid Brass & Marble Inkwell

Rare late 19th century heavy brass and marble figural inkwell featuring a finely sculpted monk reading a book.

The inkwell has its original porcelain insert and marble base, which is quite rare.

It measures 5-1/4" tall and the marble base is 3-1/2" in diameter. Excellent condition.

A very unique and handsome piece!
