Large 19th C. Repousse Shooting Trophy Punch Bowl
Extraordinary antique 19th century silver plate punch bowl trophy with all of the bells and whistles. Photos definitely don't do this enormous piece justice! Truly one of the prettiest pieces I've ever acquired and very hard to part with!
The superb repousse bowl rests upon an ebonized wooden base. It has a fascinating dedication that reads, "High Constable of Edinburgh - 14th Ward -Shooting Competition - Presented By Captain Flint Won By Lieut. Nichol 1st M.V.A. June 9th 1899".
The bowl measures 10" in diameter and stands 10" tall with the base. It weighs over 6 pounds! It polished up beautifully and is in great condition. Looks larger in person than the photos depict.
This amazing trophy bowl would make a great centerpiece, basket, or use as a punch bowl. The possibilities are endless!
