Large Antique 1911 Carlton Hotel, Cannes Christofle Milk Pitcher
Quite rare antique Christofle silver plate pitcher from the famous Carlton Hotel, Cannes, dating to 1911.
The Carlton (Intercontinental) Hotel in Cannes is one of France’s most famous hotels. Built during 1909-1910, it has a reputation as legendary as its guests. It’s been the backdrop for films as well as global political events and is still the place to see and be seen in Cannes.
The beautiful pitcher has the hotel's name across the top. It has a fancy pineapple finial and decorative spout. The pitcher has polished up beautifully, and has a gleaming bright patina.
It measures 8" tall and 6-3/4" from handle to spout.The interior is clean enough for use and holds 3 cups or liquid. Could be used for coffee, tea or milk. Stamped Christofle on the base with numbers indicating the year to 1911.
