Antique Café Aubette. France Teapot
Acquired in France, a wonderful silverplate teapot from the Aubette, a historic building is Strasbourg, France. It was built in the 1700s and included two cafes and two dance halls, as well as a tea room, billiard room and two bars. The Aubette has been fully restored and is still in existence today.
The teapot has the cafe or tea room's name across the front. It measures 4-1/2" tall and 8" from handle to spout. The exterior has some light scratches and teeny dings commensurate with age. The interior has some silver loss and would be a great display piece or re-plate to use for serving.
Very early hallmarks on the base. A wonderful and collectible piece from a historic French establishment!
