Beautiful antique mother of pearl handled cutlery set by Harrison Bros. & Howson, Sheffield, England. Harrison Brothers & Howson was a successful cutlery and silver smithery in the late 1800's/early 1900's, and was one of the biggest cutlery firms in Sheffield.
The pieces have unique-shaped mother of pearl handles that are monogrammed, "W.T.S." The ferrules are silver plate.
The set consists of two carving knives (about 13" and 11", respectively), a fork with a guard (9.5"), and a steel (11"). The longer carving knife has seen the most use. It remains quite sharp.
