Ornate Antique French Minerva Sterling Handled Fish Serving Set

Lovely antique French sterling silver handles 2-piece fish serving set, comprising of a serving knife or slice and a serving fork.

On one side, each handle has an ornate monogram cartouche with beading and acanthus accents, engraved with interlaced initials 'CV'. The blades feature pierced design with engraved floral decoration.

The knife measures 11" long and approx. 1-11/16" wide. The fork measures 10" long and approx. 2" wide. Excellent condition with a couple of small dimples on te handles. Both handles are stamped with the French Minerva first standard hallmark for .950 silver. The blades appear to be silver plated metal. They have a combined weight of 213 grams.
