Stunning antique impressionist seascape oil on canvas by listed artist, Alexandre Tielen (1868-1959), Brussels.

Tielen was a painter of landscapes, views of picturesque towns, flowers and still lifes. He trained at the Brussels Academy. His work has a firm and realistic style with an impressionistic touch. He was also active as a mural painter, author of a triptych for the "French School" in Brussels.

This beautiful, colorful painting is signed by the artist in the lower left hand corner. It's wonderfully executed and housed in a thick and heavy fancy gilt wood frame. The frame measures 26" wide by 19-1/2" tall and approx. 2" deep. Superb condition.
