19th C. French Seascape Oil Painting, Thick Gesso Frame

Delightful 19th century French seascape oil painting on canvas housed in an elaborate, thick gilt gesso carved wood frame.

The painting is quite nicely executed in calming pastel colors with ships and a shoreline. The painting is nicely  contrasted with its very old and special frame.

The painting itself measures 15" by 10" and is signed. The extraordinary carved floral gilt gesso frame measures 22-1/2" tall by 17-1/2" wide by 3" deep. It has a few areas of wood loss, and is absolutely amazing in its current state.

The painting is quite heavy and deep and will ship FeDex ground insured.
