Victorian Hotel Clark, Los Angeles Crested Teapot
Quite fancy antique silver plate crested teapot from the historic Hotel Clark, Los Angeles. The Hotel Clark opened in 1914 and this teapot is most likely from the opening year.
The 2 pint teapot has a beautiful raised crest on the side bearing the hotel's name. It measures 7-3/8" wide from handle to spout and 5-1/2" tall.
The pot has a gleaming mirror-like patina which is quite unique for its age. The interior is pristine and can hold 4 cups of tea or coffee.
Manufactured by Reed & Barton and stamped, "HOTEL CLARK". No date symbol indicates that it predates 1928, and is most likely from 1914 based on the history and motif. We've attached an image of the hotel and the passersby in Victorian attire (not included).
A gorgeous piece for your collection!
