Victorian Hotel Sherman, Chicago Fancy Crested Bowl
Exquisite Victorian era silver plate small bowl from the Hotel Sherman in Chicago, Illinois.
The Hotel Sherman was one of the city’s premier hotels and a leading nightlife venue during much of the early twentieth century. The hotel’s origins, however, date back to 1837.
The fancy bowl has a beautiful rim and with fine detail and the hotel's crest which bears the hotel's name.
It measures 5-1/2" by 5-1/2" and stands 2-1/2" tall. Excellent condition with very little wear.
Manufactured by Reed & Barton and stamped "Hotel Sherman Co." Pre-dates 1928.
