Antique Royal Pines Hotel, New Jersey Food Server w/ Cover
Fabulous, collectible antique silver plate serving piece from the old Royal Pines Hotel in New Jersey.
The Royal Pines Hotel was originally a vacation sanctuary for Philadelphia's and New York's wealthy elites-- people who took trains to the sweet pine air and bay amenities. At its heyday in the 1920’s, the Royal Pines Hotel boasted one of the most luxurious hotels and resorts in the entire state. Click here for some history.
This nice set consists of a round dome and underplate. The dome has a raised shield with the hotel's initials and logo.
The dish measures 9-3/4" from handle to handle, 7-1/4" in diameter and 1-1/2" deep. With the cover it measures 4-1/4" tall.
Nice condition with a bright and shiny patina and minimal signs of use. No manufacturers marks, but dates to the early part of the 20th century.
