Fancy Antique St. Francis Hotel, San Francisco Tray

Fancy early 1900s silver plated serving tray from the historic St. Francis Hotel in San Francisco's downtown Union Square.

This elegant scalloped tray has the fancy rim mounts known for the St. Francis. The center bears the hotel's SF crest in a wreath.

The tray measures 13" in diameter and has been professionally polished by silversmiths. It has a gleaming bright patina.

There is some age expected wear with a couple of dings. There is an area (shown in photos) that has some silver plate loss.

Manufactured by Reed & Barton and stamped, "St. Francis".

This piece dates to the early part of the 20th century. It's quite rare and wonderful!

This tray was acquired from the estate of Robert Yuen, a fourth generation San Franciscan, and a lifelong collector of hotelware.
