Art Deco Wachenheimer Signed Sterling Silver Black Onyx Marcasite Necklace
Quite stylish Art Deco 1920s necklace by Wachenheimer Bros. Wachenheimer Brothers were well-known American jewelry makers that produced jewelry from the early 1900s through the mid 1930s.
The necklace is sterling silver and consists of 17 hand cut, prong set onyx links with an alternating pattern of sparkling marcasite bars in between.
Necklace measures 19" long and weighs 28.2 grams. Two of the onyx links meet at the clasp which is stamped, "Wachenheimer Sterling" Clasp is nice and tight. It is in excellent condition. One tiny chip on two of the onyx stones--one of them is at the back near the clasp. Only noticeable in close-up photos.
The workmanship of this necklace is just lovely. A beautiful piece with a classic Art Deco look, the necklace drapes elegantly when worn and would make a lovely addition to any collection!
