1940s Copley Plaza, Boston Crested Coffee Pot
Highly collectible vintage 1940s silver plate coffee pot from the famous Copley Hotel, Boston. The Copley (now the Fairmont Copley Plaza) is recognized as one of the Historic Hotels of America, a program of the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
The pot has the Plaza's iconic double P crest on the front. It measures 9-1/4" tall and 8-3/4" from handle to spout. The exterior has a nice patina with some light scratches and a teeny ding. The interior is spotless and holds 6.75 cups of fluid--pot is 54 ounces.
Manufactured by Reed & Barton with the hotel's name on the base. Date symbol is 1946.
