1920s French Framed Bridal Photo
Acquired in France, a c. 1920s wonderful framed black and white wedding photo.
Part of what makes this photo so unique is that the family is in front of a café. Note the wonderful attire and expressions of the subjects.
The stylish Art Deco wooden picture frame has a gilt finish with silver leaf detail. It measures 12" tall by 15" wide. The photograph is under glass resting on a mat that reads, "Vue Verdier (photographer) - Vibraye (Sarthe). Sarthe is a department of the French region of Pays de la Loire, and the province of Maine, situated in the Grand-Ouest of the country.
The back has the photographer's name and address, Place de l'Eglise Vibraye, a Catholic church in Vibraye, France.
A wonderful and unique photo!
