Early 1900s Hotel Hermitage, Monte Carlo Champagne Bucket
Fabulous early 1900s silver plate champagne or wine bucket from the Hotel Hermitage. The Hotel Hermitage Monte-Carlo is a palace style Belle Époque in the heart of Monaco on the French Riviera. It belongs to the Société des bains de mer de Monaco. It was built in 1890 and 1896 the architect Nicolas Marquet with the participation of Gustave Eiffel.
This fabulous bucket has the hotel's name and a crown on one side, and "H" monogram on the other side.
It measures 8-1/8" tall and 7-1/2" in diameter. Nice ring handles.
The bucket has a bright, sparking patina, and is in nice condition for its age. The top edge of the bucket has some light dings. The base has a small dent. Interior has some wear, but that does not effect its use for holding ice.
Nice and heavy old piece from one of the finest hotels on the French Riviera!
