Early 1900s Waldorf Cafe, Sugar Shaker
From my personal collection, a c. 1900 silver plate sugar shaker from the old Waldorf Cafe. I've always loved this early piece, and it's been featured in magazines as well.
It is hand engraved "The Waldorf Cafe" across the front. This could have been from the Waldorf Cafe in San Antonio, Texas. Not sure of its whereabouts.
The shaker measures 4-3/4" tall and 4" wide including the handle. I never used this for serving as the lid is difficult to remove.
It has a lovely patina. The top has some dings and silver loss.
Manufactured by Wallace Bros. Silver Company.
A really fun old piece!
