Georgian 2.5 Carat Old Mine Cut Diamond Silver and Gold Forget-Me-Not Flower Earrings
This stunning pair of Georgian forget-me-not diamond earrings were acquired from an amazing San Francisco estate. During the 19th century, forget-me-nots became a popular symbol of fidelity and loyalty, as well as remembrance during partings or after death.
The earrings have over 2.5 carats of old mine cut diamonds set in 14K gold and silver. They were most likely brooches back in the 1800s and were at some time converted into screw back earrings.
The old mine cut diamonds are enchanting with amazing sparkle. The flowers measure approx. .75 inches by .75" inches. The center diamonds are approx. 20 points each earring, and the surrounding diamonds range from 20 points to 27.5 points for a total carat weight of 2.53. Total weight of the earrings is 7.1 grams.
The screw backs are stamped 14K. If desired, they could easily be converted into posts or wire backs.
The earrings come with their old English silk-lined presentation box!
These earrings are incredibly stylish and such show-stoppers. A style that still remains beautiful today in today's modern world.
