Massive 16" Victorian Plaza Hotel, New York City Crested Platter

Massive early 1900s 16" silver plated serving platter from the Plaza Hotel in New York City. I have never come across a Plaza platter that's this large in scale.

This collectible and beautiful platter has the desirable raised double P crest on either side that are quite clear. It measures 16" in diameter not including the edges of the crests. It is approx. 1-1/8" deep and is extremely heavy.

This piece is not for the perfectionist. It has quite a few surface scratches that are mainly in the center, although it's truly stunning as is. The underside is stamped, "Made for THE PLAZA 16 inches". It would be lovely holding just about anything from glasses to food. Use as a centerpiece for a great statement!
