Massive Vintage Bowman Biltmore Hotel Water Pitcher, 8 Pints

From my personal collection, an extraordinary, large silverplated water pitcher from the Bowman Biltmore Hotel. This is the largest hotel silver water pitcher I've ever come across.

Addition to its large size, it has a fancy handle, rims and raised crest on the front. It weighs over 5 pounds.

It has polished up beautifully and has a gleaming bright patina. A couple of tiny dings that are hardly noticeable.

The interior is spotless. At 8 pints, it holds 16 cups of fluid. It measures 10" tall and 11-1/2" from handle to spout.

Manufactured by Gorham and stamped, "The Bowman Hotels". Date mark is a bit unclear, and appears to be 1928.
