Snoot If You Must , Rare First Edition
Rare first edition book written by Lucius Beebe. Published by D. Appleton-Century Company, NY-London, 1943. 296 pages. Hard cover with pictorial dust jacket.
This work of non-fiction about Manhattan social life in the 1930's makes that decade a lot of fun. Lucius Beebe was the society and theatre columnist for the New York Herald Tribune, and in this book he remembers all of the merriment of that turbulent decade, with particular focus "on the gusty, the glamorous, and hilarious."
Book is in very good condition with some wear to the top of the jacket on the spine, protected in a Mylar cover. Nice, tight clean copy.
