Rare Vintage Ernie's Restaurant, San Francisco Coffee Pot

From my personal collection, a fully restored vintage silver plated coffee pot from the famous Ernie's restaurant in San Francisco, which closed in 1995. Ernie's debuted as a modest family-style Italian trattoria around the turn of the 20th century. It was located near the notorious Barbary Coast area of the city. In the 1950s it became known as a luxurious restaurant serving mostly traditional French cuisine.

This wonderful coffee pot has the Ernie's logo on the front. It measures 7-1/2" tall and 7-3/4" from handle to spout.

It has been fully restored by a silversmith. The interior has been silver lined and can be used for 8 cups of fluid. The exterior has polished out beautifully and has some light pitting with age.

Manufactured by Reed & Barton and marked, "ERNIE'S S.F." Date symbol is 1954.

A rare and wonderful piece of restaurant silver for the San Francisco collector or hotel/restaurant enthusiast!
