Victorian 15K Gold Agate Navette Ring
This fabulous Victorian ring was acquired from a decadent San Francisco estate. The navette-shaped agate is the largest I've ever come across and is set in 15 karat yellow gold.
The agate is a really beautiful translucent color. The ring face measures 38.33 mm north to south, 8.9 mm across, and 7.34 off of the finger. That's tall!
Ring is a US size 5.75 and is sizable. It weighs 4.4 grams. It is unmarked, but tests for 14-15K gold.
Those suspicious Victorians believed agate protected you from thunder, sorcery, poison, and demonic possession. Basically, it was a talisman for all of life’s ailments, including drunkenness! This ring might not actually contain wondrous and magical powers, but it certainly is spellbinding.
Our rings come in velvet presentation boxes.
