Victorian 1873 Liverpool Agricultural Society Trophy Pitcher
Fabulous large Victorian agricultural society footed silver plate trophy pitcher from the UK!
This stunning old pitcher has beautiful engraving and is quite shapely. It's inscribed, "Presented by George Hadfield and Co Manure Manufacturers Liverpool as Prize for the Best Crop of Turnips Grown with their Manure in the District of the Burton Agricultural Society 1873." Such a wonderful prize!
It measures 10" tall and 9-1/2" from handle to spout. Beautiful floral repousse work and a floral finial. Larger in person than the photos depict. Excellent condition with only one small ding on the back. English hallmarks on base.
A spectacular early trophy!
