1918 Victorian Fairmont Hotel, San Francisco Teapot
Wonderful, shapely Victorian era 1918 silver plated teapot from the iconic Fairmont Hotel atop San Francisco's Nob Hill.
The teapot has the early double F raised crest on the front. It measures 4-1/2" tall and 6-3/4" from handle to spout.
The pot has been professionally polished by a silversmith and has a gleaming bright butler's patina with some green oxidation on the handle. The interior has been re-lined, so can safely be used for a single service of tea.
It is manufactured by International Silver Company and the date mark is 1918.
Charming early piece from one of the finest hotels!
This piece was acquired from the estate of Robert Yuen, a fourth generation San Franciscan, and a lifelong collector of hotelware.
