Victorian Park Plaza Hotel, New York City Ice Bowl
Lovely antique petite silver plate ice bowl from the Park Plaza Hotel in New York City. The New York Park Plaza was constructed from 1902-1903.
The bowl has the hotel's name across the front and measures 6" wide from handle-to-handle and 3-1/2" tall. The opening is 4-1/2" in diameter.
Lovely condition with a sparkling bright patina and light wear. Nice, solid piece.
The bowl is manufactured by Meriden Britannia, which became a part of International Silver Company in 1898. That would date this to the late 19th century. There were other Park Plaza hotels in the US, however, because of the date of this piece, it's from the Park Plaza in New York.
This highly collectible piece is amazing in person!
