1920s Roosevelt Hotel, New York Lenox & Silver Teapot
Rare and beautiful silver plate and Lenox teapot from the Roosevelt Hotel in New York City.
The Roosevelt Hotel is a historic luxury hotel, located at 45 East 45th Street (and Madison Avenue) in Midtown Manhattan. The hotel, named in honor of President Theodore Roosevelt, opened on September 22, 1924.
The teapot is a beautiful cobalt blue with fancy silver plate rims, finial, and a beautiful Nouveau style design near the spout.
It measures 4-1/4" tall and 7" from handle to spout. Perfect for serving an individual cup of tea.
Condition is excellent with some very light scratches to the Lenox. The silver plate is manufactured by International Silver Company and dates to 1925. The underside of the lid reads, "THE ROOSEVELT NEW YORK".
Porcelain and silver hotel teapots are incredibly hard to acquire.
